An impressive late Victorian antique fireplace surround, beautifully crafted from richly figured rouge marble with dramatic white and grey veining throughout. The Rouge marble is contrasted against black accents in this original period chimneypiece. Carved thumbnail details surmount each jamb. A substantial bevelled shelf and black details finish the piece.
The generous proportions and bold colour make this an excellent statement piece . A splendid example of Late Victorian- Early Edwardian design and craftsmanship.
