Reclaimed 20th century stone fireplace surround in a French provincial style, with restrained Louis XV influence.
Carved in a warm buff limestone, the surround is defined by its shaped jambs—gently curved through the mid-section with recessed panel detailing—supporting a plain frieze and substantial shelf. The moulding is soft and understated, with a rounded arris beneath the shelf and minimal ornament throughout.
