An antique Mahogany fire surround of architectural form, distinguished by a dentil moulded cornice above a broad, rounded frieze.
The jambs are stepped and panelled, giving depth and structure, with crisp linear detailing that contrasts well against the softer curve of the frieze. The dentil course adds a classical note, typical of late 19th-century design.
