A handsome late Victorian to early Edwardian solid oak library or desk armchair, retaining its original black leather upholstery and standing on the original brass and ceramic castors. The chair has an imposing high back with shaped cresting incorporating carved scrolls which are also seen again in the armrests.
Constructed from solid quarter-sawn oak with a rich, patina developed over decades, the chair is both decorative and practical.
An excellent statement piece for a period home, study, library, office or country house interior. See images and video for a true representation of the condition
