A substantial and highly decorative Regency style fireplace surround.

The frieze is finely detailed with classical garlands, paterae and urns, framed by crisply moulded bands and dentil work, all surmounted by a deep projecting shelf. The jambs are adorned with elegant vertical reliefs. The scale of the piece makes it particularly well suited to grand reception rooms, drawing rooms or formal interiors.

The piece comes with integral slate slips that reduce the opening size. these can be removed if a more generous aperture is desired.

Finished in a soft, historic stone-toned paint, a striking statement surround with impressive proportions.
