Set of 10 Early 20th Century Portland Stone Columns 3.2m

PRODUCT ID: ATHENS

All prices include VAT

An impressive set of 10 reclaimed Portland stone columns, salvaged from a London building and originally forming part of an entrance portico.

Each column is composed of a circular shaft with moulded base and simple classical capital, reflecting the restrained proportions of the Tuscan order. The shafts are formed from 5 sections, a common method used in architectural construction to allow large columns to be transported and assembled on site.

The columns are carved from Portland stone, the historic building stone widely used across London for prestigious architecture including townhouses, civic buildings and porticoes.

These columns would make a striking feature for a new architectural project such as:

• a grand entrance portico
• garden loggia or colonnade
• orangery or pavilion
• restoration of a period building

Their scale and classical detailing make them suitable for both traditional architecture and contemporary schemes looking to incorporate authentic reclaimed stone elements.
