We are extremely lucky to have acquired this one of a kind Victorian hand painted wooden Tailors shop sign from Vicarage Lane in Stratford, East London.

This Tailors sign "Thompsons Humphries Co Tailors 299 Mrs Russell 299" is a magnificent piece of British social history, showcasing London as part of the 'nation of shopkeepers'.

The regeneration scheme of this part of east London means that increasing numbers of historic buildings are being repurposed and altered. This sign was recently exposed and successfully removed in sections.

An outstanding decorative feature for a range of interior or exterior projects.

As pictured, the sign comes complete with pine alcove detailing. It is a very large piece measuring :

W37ft (1127cm) x H64cm
