A pair of magnificent Baroque style fire surrounds in carved mahogany with marble slips. These ornate and elaborate chimneypieces feature masked corbels with bell flower pendants on the front and side of both jambs and central radius top to the opening, flanked by beautiful curved scrolls and large breakfront shelf. A fine example of Edwardian spender, removed from a prestigious house in Hampstead which was occupied by Sir Joseph Beecham. The pair of surrounds were fitted in the ballroom, used to entertain members of High Society, including Edward VII.
