An original antique fireplace insert designed by the renowned Victorian architect and metalwork designer Thomas Jeckyll for the Barnard, Bishop & Barnard foundry in Norwich. Thomas Jeckyll worked within the Aesthetic Movement and was highly influenced by Japanese design. This beautiful cast iron insert features Jeckyll's recognisably decorative style incorporating floral motifs within reeded panels. Each corner features an arrangement of a tudor rose, thistles and clover leaves with a butterfly in the centre.
