This late Georgian early Victorian Carrara marble surround is a particularly attractive chimneypiece.
This elegant antique crossover design (where the lintel sits completely across both legs) was very typical of the period.
Because of the simplicity of the design, the surround would suit a number of inserts both ornate and plain or indeed a fire basket it would also sit well in a variety of contemporary and traditional settings.
