Antique Late Georgian Pencil Vein Fireplace Surround

This late Georgian early Victorian surround is a particularly attractive chimneypiece crafted from Pencil Vein marble.

This elegant antique 'crossover' design (where the lintel rests completely across and both jambs) was very typical of the period.

Because of the simplicity of the form, the surround would suit a number of inserts both ornate and plain or indeed a fire basket.

A fine fireplace offering an excellent option for those looking to install original period features to a period property renovation.
